Danbury, CONN. (November 9, 2021) – Union Savings Bank (USB) announces that Theresa LaRock has joined the bank as a residential mortgage loan originator and Jordan Sanford has been promoted to residential mortgage loan originator. Both will support the bank’s growing residential lending business.
“We are excited about the addition of Theresa to our team and Jordan’s new role at USB, as this will help to further fortify our comprehensive and expanding residential lending business, particularly in today’s dynamic mortgage and real estate climate,” said Robert Monti, Senior Vice President, Residential and Consumer Lending. “Both Theresa and Jordan have extensive experience in the housing market and strong ties to the community. We’ll rely on them to help our customers navigate through all aspects of the residential lending process and make sure they have the best loan for their situations, including first time home buyer and FHA loans.”
In her role as residential mortgage loan originator, LaRock will be responsible for educating existing and prospective customers about the variety of USB mortgage products available and guiding them throughout the lending process. She works out of two Danbury office locations, (South Main and Mill Plain Road), the Newtown office, and Roxbury office.
LaRock brings over 12 years of banking experience in residential lending to her new position at USB. She offers a holistic approach to her customers: educate about their options; evaluate their financial position; map out the best strategy; and guide borrowers from application to closing. The goal is an overall positive customer experience that is punctuated by the best mortgage loans for their homes.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences from Post University, Waterbury, CT. LaRock serves on the membership committee of the Southbury Heritage BNI (Business Networking International) and teaches financial literacy to children through Junior Achievement. She currently resides in Roxbury, CT.
Sanford, who began her banking career in 2009, joined USB in 2017 as a senior service representative and has held several positions of increasing responsibility during her four years with the bank. She was most recently a mortgage sales assistant. In her new role, Sanford is responsible for developing and coordinating the bank’s mortgage call program, working with other USB team members on business development, assisting customers with completing loan applications, and community outreach. She works out of the two Brookfield offices and the two Torrington offices.
Sanford earned a B.A. in Business from the University of Connecticut. She also is a graduate of Union Savings Bank’s Professional Development Trainee Program, which is an 18-month program that provides participants with broad-based knowledge of the financial services industry and helps develop future leaders at USB by immersing them in various areas of the bank. Sanford is involved in numerous local Chambers and organizations including the Connecticut Bankers Association, Connecticut Mortgage Bankers Association, Litchfield Area Business Association, Northwest Chamber of Commerce, and the Young Professionals Organization.
