What is backup withholding?
The IRS requires backup withholding if your name and Social Security number on Form W-9 does not match their records. They often require backup withholding if you owe federal income
Why do I need to review and accept disclosures?
Disclosures contain the important terms and conditions that apply to your new account and online banking. Reviewing and accepting disclosures ensures that you are informed about how we will manage your new account and access to online banking.
How can I find my security code (CVV)?
The security code is the last 3 digit number located on the back of your card on or above your signature line.
How can I speed up my application?
If you already have an account with us, we can automatically fill out parts of your application using the information you provided when you opened your other account. You can speed up your application using information from your ATM/check card, a deposit account (excluding CD accounts), or a loan account.
Can I order a Debit Card?
Yes, you can order a debit when you open your new account
What is a CT Drive Only ID?
The Connecticut DMV has started a Drive Only program for undocumented individuals who are 16 and older and cannot establish their legal presence in the United States or may not have a Social Security number. In accordance with state law, the purpose of the Drive Only license program is to improve public safety and to try to ensure that all drivers are tested, know how to drive and understand the rules and laws for driving. A Drive Only license is not valid for federal identification purposes, and cannot be used to vote.
Where can I find my available balance?
Current customers can log-in to online banking and use the amount shown for the account
What is Current Balance and Available Balance?
Available Balance is the amount of funds that are available to you for withdrawl/transfer. This balance is equal to the current balance minus any funds being held in reserve until transactions clear. Current Balance is the days starting balance, plus or minus any current day transactions that have not yet completed or cleared.
Where can I find my bank’s routing number?

How can I verify an existing account using loan information?
Most loan account information can be found on your most recent statement which includes your account number
Can you speed up an online application?
Customers using the Fast Path option (Speed Up Your Application) must currently have an open active account with Union Savings Bank
Not sure which option to choose?
New accounts can be funded with an internal transfer, or a transfer from a different external account. With an internal transfer you authorize to transfer your opening deposit from a deposit account you already own at Union Savings Bank. This transfer is processed immediately upon successful completion of this application however the funds may not be made available right away. With an external transfer you authorize to transfer your opening deposit from a deposit account you own at different bank. This method requires that you provide the routing number and account number for your external account to start the verification process in order to complete the transfer. This process can take up to three business days to complete.

How is my personal information used?
Federal law requires that all financial institutions obtain, verify and record personal information that identifies each person who opens an account. Your information is securely stored on your account and customer records once your new account is opened.
